Dollar General Literacy Foundation Awards S.A.Y. Detroit Play Center

S.A.Y. Detroit is thrilled to share Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded $50,000 to the S.A.Y. Detroit Play Center at Lipke Park, the largest of 23 grants totaling $181,000 statewide. Twenty-two other Michigan schools, non-profits, and literacy organizations also received grants, aimed at supporting adult, family and summer literacy programs within a 20-mile radius of a Dollar General store or distribution center. S.A.Y. Play’s local store is just 6 blocks north of the center on 20164 Van Dyke Street.

The statewide grants are part of more than $7.5 million that the Dollar General Literacy Foundation awarded nationwide. More information can be found at www.dgliteracy.org. Read their release here.
