Birthday: November 27
Grade: Primary 1
We call her little Gina, but her voice is anything but—you can hear it resonate across the mission. Her voice only matches her strong-willed and bold spirit, both on display at nightly devotions while singing her favorite worship songs, like “Soon and Very Soon” and “God’s Not Dead.” Her favorite movies are Jem and The Holograms and Ever After, and like the latter’s protagonist Danielle, Gina believes in helping others. Robbers beware: she wants to become a police officer to stop people from stealing. Gina has a sparkling personality and all the characteristics of a great leader.
A fan of weekends because it’s her time to play, dance, and attend church, Gina’s favorite colors are pink and white. She’s found role models in Mr. Yonel, Miss Gina, and the nannies. Energetic, she is a master at hopscotch and jumping rope. Gina’s favorite meal must have chicken and vegetables, and her favorite book is Dora Saves Mermaid Kingdom.
When she first arrived at the mission, she jumped right into the activities alongside the other children. During our dress-up playtime, Gina is the first to put on high heels; though she wobbled and fell, she was determined to make it across the room. Her persistence, at any task, is a great example for any adult as much as the other children.
